This week on the Beacon podcast, Esther Ben and Mike discuss some moments from the First Congressional District debate and whether super-spreader venues in Maine should face prosecution.

Also: Sen. Susan Collins has been echoing some of the most destructive language of President Donald Trump in attacks on Beacon, with her staff calling it a “fake news juggernaut” and “fake news empire” and falsely claiming she answers Beacon reporters’ questions. The hosts discuss the tenets of movement journalism and some of the limitations this conversation has exposed for legacy publications.
